- Splice boxes are installed permanently in the network cabinet to bundle the fiber optic cables that converge there - comparable to a patch panel for
- In the network cabinet, the signal from the fiber optic cable can be connected to switches, media converters, routers, modems, servers, SFP modules or FTTH / FTTB via patch cables.
- The fiber pigtails used are colour-coded in accordance with DIN IEC 60304 and inserted into the splice cassette(s).
- The housing material used is 1 mm thick sheet steel, which is painted or powder-coated in the color grey (RAL 7035).
- The splice box is already prefabricated - an assembled splice cassette and corresponding couplings for the front panel are already installed.
